Ocean Traps International can provide any of the accessories needed
for our traps. These include lead weights, stainless steel strapping,
stainless steel buckles and tools for tightening the straps. OTI
can also provide line, long line snaps, buoys or any other items upon request.
OTI recommends from 10 to 20 pounds per half, depending on fishing ground.
Lead or steel weights are easily secured to the trap with stainless steel
strapping (banding). Equal amount of weight in each half ensures
proper balancing of the trap.
Step 2
Align the hinges and drive the hinge pins through the holes provided.
This is facilitated with a small head hammer.
Step 3
Cut out the appropriate size desired on the funnel entry.
Step 4
Place the bait containers inside each half and snap lock them in place.
Step 5
Close the trap and slide the two U shaped locks into their slots.
